Getting Back In It

So, we’re gearing up to start the process again. I’m a little nervous although extremely excited to get back. It’s like the first day of school. You know there are tough, tiring days ahead, but you can’t wait to jump in.

It’s time to sing… In addition to the album, I’m also looking at some musical projects. It’s been so difficult trying to find the right piece, but I think we’re close. Ironically, the theater here in our town was doing Aida. Every time I passed by and saw the billboard I had this anxious feeling thinking that I was late for the show.

I’ve also started working on the new album. I’m really excited about this one. We’re journeying down a great musical road and I look forward to sharing it with everyone. I’ve started working again with Keith Thomas and I think that we have a few songs that are going to be great (if I can say so myself). I’m also working with working with Walter A, who is an incredible, INCREDILBLE musician, writer and producer. It’s just amazing watching his process and working with him – - it really is!

I will admit that it’s all more difficult with the addition of our little boy. He travels with us, and he’s doing really well, but it’s still tough at times. Working Mamas! I think the struggle is in the juggling. As women, we have all these crowns we wear. Even though we may not be our best in every category, everyday, I’m trying my best to be an amazing wife, a good mommy, a caring neighbor, and the best artist I can be, and yet still save time and energy to just be Heather. Whew! I don’t know how our grand mothers and their mothers did it. They truly are Superwomen.
